This series was inspired by the painting ‘Duff’ by Ruth Murray, the painting shows a girl laying on the ground surrounded by branches. I saw this painting when I visited the Manchester art galllery and knew I wanted to use it for inspiration. I did a shoot with a similar consensus, but I wanted to challange our perceptions of idenity, so I edited the images in a way that distorts the modle. This created a feeling of alienation  and encourages the audiance to question their knowlege on  idenitiy.
